Idiom là gì?

Idiom là thành ngữ trong tiếng anh, thường là các cụm từ, hoặc cũng có thể là một câu được ghép lại từ các từ nhưng có ý nghĩa khác với nghĩa đen của các từ đó. Hiểu một cách đơn giản, idiom tương tự như thành ngữ, tục ngữ Việt Nam vậy.
 

Tầm quan trọng của idioms trong Ielts Speaking

Idiom giúp cho câu nói của bạn trở nên ngắn gọn hơn nhưng bao hàm ý nghĩa rộng. Trong Ielts Speaking, một trong những tiêu chí để giám khảo cân nhắc chấm điểm cao hơn nếu bạn sử dụng một vài từ ít thông dụng và thành ngữ. Nếu biết cách sử dụng idiom một cách phù hợp và tự nhiên thì bạn sẽ đạt được điểm speaking cao hơn.
